Ezo Abalone

Haliotis discus hannai – A mollusk originally from Hokkaido, Japan but now sustainably farmed in Kona. The delicious flavor falls between a clam and a scallop but with a little more al dente. Best when eaten raw or grilled in it’s own juices, allow a drizzle of smoked shoyu or bright ponzu. Approximately 8 pieces per pound.
